Durham is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Durham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had a good experience at Koi! The steak fried rice was definitely the best thing on the menu full of flavor, cooked well, and worth ordering. My only issue was with the all-you-can-eat option. Be aware that if you order more than you can finish, you’ll be charged for the leftovers. I understand the policy is probably meant to reduce food waste, glad the host went over the policy before we ordered😊 Overall, the food was good, especially the steak fried rice, and I’d go back I’d just be more mindful of how much I order next time.

I’ve never left a review before, but after this experience I had to. We found a dead spider in our miso soup and pieces of plastic wrap inside one of our sushi rolls. We immediately let the employee clearing our plates know and even showed her the spider. Her response was simply, "Do you want me to take it back?" There didn't seem to be much concern or any real attempt to address the situation. As we were leaving, she briefly said, "Sorry, guys," but no manager, other staff member, or even our server ever came over to speak with us. Our waitress never checked on us again after the incident and only returned when it was time to bring the bill. By the time this happened, we had already ordered our sushi, and when it arrived, we found pieces of plastic wrap inside one of the rolls. Maybe it was just an off night, but finding a dead bug in our food and then plastic in our sushi was completely unacceptable. What made the experience even worse was the lack of urgency, communication, and concern from the staff. We were polite and understanding throughout the entire experience, but this could have been a serious food safety issue. I hope this review encourages the restaurant to improve bot

My sis, nieces and I went for an impromptu dinner after our girls day activities. It was about 5:30 on a Sunday. They were packed, but we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The food is either a la carte or all.tou can eat for $26.... but everyone at the table.has to choose the same option. The all.you can eat is a pretty good deal if you want to try a few things. Our service was great... especially with how busy they were. I had crab ragoons, crab salad, the special roll called the Lady Bug and fried cheesecake. Really liked the ragoons qith a good amount of cream cheese in a pastry. The Lady Bug roll was delish. The crab salad was different, but good. I believe I expected chunks of crab and it was shredded. Never had fried cheesecake, but cheesecake is my favorite dessert so I wanted to try it. Nice fried crust on the outside and creamy on the inside. It was a good experience.

This was an all-you-can-eat spot, but don’t let that fool you — they’ll charge you extra if you don’t finish everything. I paid $4 per roll on top of the base price because I didn’t finish a few pieces — and that was my second plate after they forgot part of my original order. The salmon roll didn’t even look like salmon. It looked more like sweet potatoes stuffed into rice. The color and texture were completely off. I know what salmon sushi is supposed to look and taste like, and this wasn’t it. The sake came out late, after I was already halfway through eating. The waitress forgot part of my order, which is why I even had a second plate to begin with. When I brought up being charged extra for pieces I didn’t finish — especially after the order mix-up — the manager wouldn’t budge at all. No discount, no attempt to make it right, nothing. Between the questionable food quality, slow drink service, forgotten items, and management nickel-and-diming customers at an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I won’t be back. There are way better sushi spots that actually care about service and quality.

UPDATE : I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience at Koi Sushi & Hibachi and feel it’s important to share. I used to be a frequent customer, but a few months ago I had a large Grubhub order that was very poor in quality. I reached out at the time and was told the order could be remade. When I later came in, I was informed it had already been refunded through Grubhub, which I wasn’t aware of, since Grubhub doesn’t always notify customers right away when refunds are approved. I accepted that information calmly and left without any issue. Because of that experience, I hadn’t been back in a while. Today, I decided to give the restaurant another chance and brought a friend who wanted to try it. Unfortunately, we were immediately turned away by the manager on shift, Connie. She recognized me, accused me of trying to get free food in the past, and refused to serve us altogether. This was based on a clear misunderstanding from months ago that was never handled negatively on my end. I was respectful then, and I came back today with good intentions. Being denied service like that especially in front of a guest I brought, was incredibly rude, and completely unprofessional. Connie w
